Cascara (Coffee Cherry Tea)

CASCARA means “Husk’, “Peel” or “Skin” in Spanish. It is the dried skin of coffee cherries. Surprised? We were too. These fruity and juicy dried cherry skins are the remains after the coffee seed has been removed from the cherry. They are then dried in the sun before they are packed sent off to be brewed to perfection.

Brewing Instructions:

1. Boil 180ml of water.
2. Take a cup and clean it with hot water.
3. Add 9 g cascara to your cup.
4. Add water in the cup and let it steep for 8-9 mins, stirring occasionally.
5. After 9 mins, strain the cascara tea into an empty cup
6. Add 2-3 drops of lemon and sweetener of choice (optional)
7. Enjoy your clean cup of cascara.
